About
Morning Close is a composer and interactive-media artist. A traveler, her work has appeared at GDC IGF, Tiat Space, ICMC, NYCEMF, and more.
Her practice is characterized by nonlinear storytelling and a poetic sensibility that runs through both her music and her interactive works. Across these pieces, she often constructs a contemplative world that gradually reveals its underlying contrasting or dual nature.
Morning Close is currently a master’s student at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University, where she explores the interplay of text, visual music, and a humanistic approach to AI.
She works in ChucK and ChuGL, TouchDesigner, Max/MSP, Logic Pro, Studio One, and Reaper, and writes for voice, ensemble, and Ambisonic diffusion.
