Between My Eyelids
TouchDesigner installation, June 2026Between My Eyelids explores the potential of a liminal space where we can experience time differently. Inspired by the busyness of daily life and the quiet stillness of early mornings, when one might sit in a bedroom and watch sunlight gently fill the room, the piece invites visitors to slow down and turn their attention inward.
The installation responds to its surrounding environment, using the inner layer of fabric, middle layer, and outer door to create a gradual pathway for visitors. Moving from one layer to the next, we shed the distractions of the outside world and encounter increasingly abstract representations of our surroundings, redirecting our attention toward our inner world.
Between My Eyelids consists of fabric, natural stones, ambient sound, and zafus. Its digital component is built in TouchDesigner, with interactive elements driven by Arduino sensing and AI models. The installation is modular and can be expanded or adapted to different spatial environments.

Singing To Your Moon
TouchDesigner Installation, April 2026Presented at The Pavillion @ Stanford, Singing to Your Moon is an audio-reactive Touch Designer project. Through a combination of prerecorded bells and live audio input, the project explores the spectrum continuity betwen fixed pattern and fluid changes by juxstaposing the consistent moon phase and bells, yet the inconsistent audience singing or other vocal interactions.
Fundamentally, it is about the dual-nature concet that everything can come to a pattern, yet everything remains changing.

Flower.Mirror
ChucK/ChuGL Installation, December 2025What will appear when you turn the mirror around?
Presented at the International Computer Music Conference (ICMC) (2026), MediaFlocks, New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival (NYCEMF) (2026), and Shanghai Baixin Bookstore, Flower.Mirror is a poetry-driven multimedia interactive game that explores the interplay of poetry, sound, and visual space. The program guides its player through dream-like landscapes, where the player puzzles through and trigger stages of the game by constructing texts into poetic phrases.
The ideas of “Flower” and “Mirror” are deeply intertwined in traditional Chinese culture. The project draws inspiration from Dream of the Red Chamber, where the concept of 镜花水月 (“Mirror, Flower, Water, Moon”) is a recurring theme. Often translated as “flower in the mirror, moon on the water,” the phrase describes a beauty that is vivid yet transient. Through this lens, the project observes the worldly concerns tied to intercultural identity, how they evolve over time, rise and fall in cycles of yin and yang, and eventually soften into reconciliation. Our life, like the flower in the mirror, is filled at times with loneliness and sorrow, at others with joy and tenderness, yet remains a fleeting experience.
